This was a gift to America from the people of Russia and is a memorial to the victims of 9-11. You can google it for more details on the incredible artist, etc., but in the mean time, click on the picture to enlarge it. You can see the names of the victims engraved in marble at the base of the sculpture. There are also messages from prominent Russians including Putin.
This sits on the shores of New Jersey harbor and the giant silver tear in the center of the torn heart of the monolith is probably one of the most moving sculptures ever created.
The question remains: WHY didn't our corporate media tell us about this?????
